Windows 10: windows update from 10.0.18290.1000 to 10.0.18342.8 failed

I am trying to update windows from insider preview 10.0.18290.1000 to 10.0.18342.8, however it failed every time. during the second reboot, after about 27% it says undoing changes to windows and then it rolled back to 18290, i checked event viewer right after it says:


Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070005: Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18342.8 (19h1_release).

Downloading updates stuck at 0%


Hello everyone, Windows Update has been stuck at 0% every time I've tried in the last couple of days (see screenshot). These are the two updates available:

• Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3103688).

• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3105213).

I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

 

Is it time for Windows 10 already?

It is an optional update. They may have recently updated it to be an important update though.

Because the triggers ARE Z-axis. One is 0 through 1000; the other is 0 through -1000. All your "unsigned drivers" are doing is rounding to 0 or +/-1000. I wouldn't advise doing that because they're deliberately high precision.
