Windows 10: Windows update from 10 Pro to 11 Home

My PC was recently updated from Windows 10 Professional to Windows 11. Yesterday I noticed that it is the Home version and not Professional. The funny thing is that I can still use Remote Desktop which if memory serves me correctly is not in the home version. My understanding is that if a PC has a professional version installed the update would also be professional. Can someone tell me if this is a known issue and how I can correct it? Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
