Windows 10: Windows Update from April gave an issue with RemoteAPP

We pushed security and critical updates to our W10 machines. I had 4 users that had to be rolled back because the update seemed to cause issues with RemoteApp. we have tools that download an .rdp file which usually opens remote app. after the April updates we couldnt use remote app, it would not respond or open. anyone else have this issue?

RemoteApps window focus error with the latest April 10th update (1803)

Since the last update (April 10th, 2018. Number 1803) we have an error with our RemoteApps, all of them suffer from this issue.

When the RemoteApp needs to open a new window or show the contextual menu it usually draws it behind the main window, you need to click the icon in the taskbar in order to bring it to front. This is a very frustrating issue.

Is there any solution?

Microsoft blocks Windows 10 April Update for Intel SSD 600p Series

Microsoft is blocking some Intel SSDs from installing the April 2018 Update after discovering an incompatibility issue that causes performance and stability issues. In short, the problem was explained by Microsoft as: “When attempting to upgrade to Window 10 April 2018 Update select devices with certain Intel SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly.” Microsoft says that this issue has no workaround and that those that have attempted to update Windows 10 to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update should revert back to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709.

Unfortunately, the announcement by Microsoft fails to list what specific Intel SSD models are having issues with the OS update. We contacted Intel and discovered that the Intel SSD 600p Series of client drives that was first introduced to the market in 2016 is the most popular drive that is having issues.

How to setup RemoteApp mode for some application in Windows 10 Professional

Hi all,

how to deal with RemoteApp mode in Windows 10 Professional? I tryied to follow

these instructions to setup application for RemoteApp mode under Windows 7 but without success. Problem is that there is no such entry

• HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Terminal Server/TSAppAllowList

in registry. When I add these entry by hand and follow next instructions, I cannot connect to remote application because window closed immediately after login. Normal remote desktop is working fine.

Can you suggest some resources or guide to setup and use RemoteApp mode in Windows 10 Professional?
