Windows 10: Windows Update giving an Error, Code: 0x80080005

My Windows has been outdated for almost a year at this point, but every time I attempt to update, it provides me an error with the code mentioned above. Along with this, my Windows Security center screen is also Blank as well as the Microsoft Store. I tried running the Troubleshooter, but it came back with no problems.Error Message shown:"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: 0x80080005"

It guides you through stages of preparation, then you perform the repairs in Safe Mode.

Of course, you can just go to Safe Mode, launch the program, and directly run the repairs, missing the preparation... not the best of ideas. It's designed to give you ways of going back if something goes wrong by creating a restore point, registry backup... then doing the repairs.
