    Security update is causing internet to go slowly

    My HP laptop is running windows 10. It down loaded an update and since then my internet is running slowly. There is no slowly on my phone, so I don't think it is the internet itself. I checked my network adapter drivers are uptodate.

    If I uninstall the update things are fine. But everytime I turn off the laptop the problematic update is reinstalled when I turn it back on.

    I am at a loss about what to do. I am not that competent in sorting out problems. Any help needs to be very simple. What can I do?

    • What all the troubleshooting steps have you tried to resolved the issue?
    • What is the exact issue are you facing with sound?
    • Are you getting any error message?
    • Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

    • Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
    • Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
    • Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

    Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article and check if it helps.
