  1. Windows Update has Broken my Audio Jack

So for completely unrelated issue I sat through and updated my laptop with as many windows updates as I could, including the optional ones, just to see if they'd help. It did fix my inital issue but yesterday my audio jack stopped working, it wasn't able to detect my headphones (and I checked with my spare set and boyfriend's laptop that it most definitely is the Laptop and not the headphones). I managed to get it working again by cleaning the physical jack out (I also ireinstalled the audio drivers. No help) but now having got up today it's back to not working despite having.... Worked and nothing changing between when I went to bed and woke up. Please help. I've wasted the better half of two days on this and I'm fairly convinced it's probably software and not the jack itself.

  2. Realtek audio broken with update, Also microsoft chat is broken

My audio is ruined with this last update, i've done every step and recommended action listed by microsoft and every suggestion on the first 20 pages of google search. Realtek is no longer showing up anywhere, like microsoft disabled it, microsoft chat is
also broken, requesting to speak with a human brings you to a couple options, all of which are broken and clicking on "chat" closes the window and nothing happens, this is absolutely disgusting, i've spent the last 4 hours trying to get my tablet, my audio,
    and microsoft support to work.

    way to treat your customers....................

    audio jack problems

    Hi,

Windows allows disabling of a certain port if you want to or if you need to. To disable a headphone or speaker audio jack, kindly follow these steps:

    • Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
    • Select Playback devices.
    • Right-click on the playback device that you want to disable and click
      Disable
      .

    To disable a microphone jack:

    • Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
    • Select Recording devices.
    • Right-click on the recording device that you want to disable and click
      Disable
      .

Also, we recommend taking your PC to a technician for the removal of the audio jack that is stuck so that, you'll be able to use the port again.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Regards.
