Windows 10: Windows Update Installation Error 0x8024200B

Hello everyone. I've recently been struggling with a wide variety of issues with my computer, which I had originally thought to be a virus. I had been running into blue screens and other issues, and worried that it was due to a virus of some kind though I was using windows defender actively at the time and hadn't downloaded anything new or risky nearly a year. These issues lead to me doing a complete factory reset of my computer. Later, just today, I finally realized after sustained issues that it was a hardware problem, and not a virus at all! just an issue with my RAMWhile this makes me

Error 0x8024200b may occur when Windows update was downloaded successfully but was not installed or somehow became corrupt.

I would suggest you reset Windows update Components and see if it helps.

This worked for me, the key was to remove my printer in "Devices and Printers", which also removed the "unknown printer" in Device Manager. I then re-installed it and, when I reran Windows Update, the problem update went away. Hope this works for you.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
