  1. Windows Update interrupt Stable Diffusion Training, again...

Windows update now decide to restart during A.I. training after I found out that uptime is restarted and this:I have max out Pause Update, as today Pause Update expired and decide to force to restart without checking system usage like CUDAI have enabled "Metered Connection" tricks, still this issue persist I have lost a lot of progress and $$$ because of this, restart training use a lot of power, there is no way to coup of that lostHow to prevent this from happening? There a way to let Windows Update to monitor CUDA usage and hold the restart?

    :)

  2. Windows Update interrupt Stable Diffusion Training

First of all, this happened three times that Windows Update decided to restart during Stable Diffusion Training (Dreambooth)

I know update is important for security but...

There is a way to let Windows Update not to restart during A.I. Training? Like monitor 3D/CUDA utilisation>90%?

I notice when PC suddenly doesn't make noise, I go check and show "Just a moment"

There Windows Update just to decide to waste two days of A.I. training, there are no way to resume last epoch due to conservative SSD write.

  3. Windows Update interrupt Stable Diffusion Training

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Disabling the option "Get me up to date" in the Windows Update advanced options will avoid the reboot of your computer when is active.

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

    2-Click on Windows Update

    3-Click on Advanced options

4-Turn off the option "Get me up to date"

5-Then check if the "Active hours" is set correctly, Windows update will not reboot your computer automatically during these hours

Another option is to pause the Windows Update temporarily when you are running a procedure that you don't want the Windows Update to interrupt.

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

    2-Click on Windows Update

3-Then click on "Pause update for 1 week". This will disable the Windows Update temporarily

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
