    Since I migrated my operating system to a new M.2 drive i've had issues keeping my windows up to date. For the first 2 updates it was fine but soon after I didn't receive a single update. I've read the threads related to this issue and have tried all of the things that are suggested but whenever I attempt things in the CMD such as: net stop wuauservnet stop cryptSvcnet stop bitsnet stop msiserverIt tells me that access is denied, even when I am the only user on this computer and yes my account has admin rightsThere is no trace of OS on any other drives and am quite stuck on what I need to tr

    Sorry? Have you got the correct Tweaking .com's repair tool? Or followed the steps to the end where you actually do the numbered repairs?

    It guides you through stages of preparation, then you perform the repairs in Safe Mode.

    Of course, you can just go to Safe Mode, launch the program, and directly run the repairs, missing the preparation... not the best of ideas. It's designed to give you ways of going back if something goes wrong by creating a restore point, registry backup... then doing the repairs.

    suggests the error number may occur where one of the OTHER drives has a problem.

    Your specs don't say whether you have other drives installed.

    Anyway, worth using Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) - the best text summary of such programs I've seen- to check your disks. Failing that check SMART params and do a surface scan with something else.
