Windows 10: Windows Update issue.

Discus and support Windows Update issue. in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; I have a HP ProBook 4440s with Windows 10.     Windows Update issue.


    I have a HP ProBook 4440s with Windows 10.


    Today when I started my laptop, it said "Preparing Automatic Repair"

    Then it went into the Repair screen and said that my computer did not start correctly. I went into Advanced options and continued to Windows 10 normally.

    Windows 10 was updating and then after a while it said: "We could not complete the updates. Undoing changes."


    When the computer started up, There was a new account named "Administrator". It had no password.


    Is my computer hacked? Please help.

    My PC was working fine yesterday. I used to have Windows Insider updates but don't anymore.

    PC Specs:


    Intel Core I5 3210M @ 2.5GHz

    Intel HD Graphics

    700GB Hard Disk Drive

    Connected to a HP W2207H Monitor.

    LAN and WIFI compatible

    Windows 10 2004

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Windows Update issue. :)
