    Windows update issues


    I've been working on a friends computer through teamviewer for two days now, and have gone so far as to do a completely fresh install of windows 10. He is unableto get hte 1903 cumulative update (KB4524570) to install.
    So far I have:Checked and reinstalled Net Framework a handful of times
    Run DISM

    Run SFC

    Attempted to manualy install the update from the catalog.

    Attempted to repair via ISO

    Run Update troubleshooting

    run windows 10 update assistant

    Nothing is working. It seems like theres core things missing from his machine or something. Windows update log shows:

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Windows update issues :)
