    I haven't been able to update windows for quite some time now. In fact, the version I have now is almost two years old. Whenever I try to update, the computer bluescreens. I am trying to update the system via USB and it also fails. Using the USB installation media, it states that I cannot update using the USB and must update via update software. Using the ISO file, the drive won't even boot and gives a message related to "exF". I have contacted support numerous times and the three times they said they would transfer me to someone in the tech support department, I waited for hours. Any ideas ho

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Windows Update Issues :)
