Windows 10: Windows update just froze my computer which I had to restart, and lost hours of work...

how is it possible that my activity monitor shows a windows cumulative update as the failed event that crashed my computer, when ive turned off updates from settings!

Update:

After 1 hour 20 minutes, the computer froze, I had to restart it.

My vcore is @ 1.450, any suggestions?

 

Computer restarting

I took out one of the sticks and it's working now. RAM wasn't on my list cause I thought bad ram would give BSODs not restarts. Boy was I wrong! Thanks for the help i789.


EDIT: I ran the Windows 7 memory stability test on the remaining stick and it passed the test. Half an hour later the comp crashed again. Is it still the RAM?

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC, prior to this issue?

and make the changes accordingly. If the PC installed with Windows 10 Pro then follow the steps under
Configuring active hours with Group Policy and if it is
Windows 10 Home then follow steps under Configuring active hours through Registry
