Windows 10: Windows Update KB 4483452, 4487044 & 4486553 won't install

My Windows 10 errors out continuously when installing these three updates. All three display Error 0x8e5e03fb. I've run the onboard troubleshooter, the guided troubleshooter, to no avail. I've stopped the update service, deleted the Download and DataStore folders in the Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder, then restarted the update service. Rebooted and checked for updates. These three updates were downloaded, but failed to install, with the same error code. What else can I try, short of reinstalling Windows?

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Please execute both the steps

1. Run Built-in & Guided Walk through Windows Update troubleshooter

Built-in : Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & security > Click Troubleshoot > Click Windows Update > Click Run the Troubleshooter

2. Right click on Windows Start > Windows Powershell (Admin)

Type following (or copy and paste following) one by one and Enter after each

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

Now restart your computer. Next time, these should get installed properly.

Way 1: First, 0X800703F1 Error Codes are caused in one way or another by misconfigured system files in your windows operating system.

I recommend that you Download (0X800703F1) Repair Tool.

Way 2:

1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator.

2. Run the following commands (these are basic only)

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Try running these commands, & then Windows Update.

If the above steps not working,

Try after a Clean install from a USB.
