  1. Windows update kb5004237 causing critical error.

My moms computer was being buggy, so she restarted it. Upon restarting, the screen was black for a moment before saying "Hi" and then "This will take a few minutes"After those few minutes or whatever went by, behold, the start menu doesn't work, says critical error. Wifi does not work either. Drives are not being recognized, i can't connect a usb or my phone to it to move files onto it.I opened cmd as admin via task manager, but using wusa /uninstall KB:5004237 just gives me an error because it's some kind of protected update, and trying to uninstall it from appwiz.cpl doesn't even give an opt

    KB5004237 will not install!

Three out of my four computers have installed KB5004237 without any problems - the remaining one stalls at 20%, and throws up error 0x800f081f.
I have run sfc + dism + the update trouble-shooter to no avail.
It would seem that I am missing certain data/ previous update from what I can gather. Is this a known problem? and is there a starting point for me to try.
Windows update suggests that I am up to date.
    Any help appreciated - thanks.
