Windows 10: Windows update KB5005033 Aug 2021 problematic and no option to selectively exclude bad updates

10 Aug 2021 Windows 10 update KB5005033 has slowed my PC to the point I had to uninstall it.If you installed KB5005033, watch out for these issues windowsreport.comSystem now works as it did previously after removing this bad update.But Windows does not allow me to stop just this problematic update – I must pause all updates.Please allow users to ban bad MS updates. Microsoft is not perfect and must have this option, as I still wish to receive security and other updates.

We appreciate the workaround you've provided in this thread to help more people who has the same issue. As another suggestion, we advise that you do these steps to exclude driver update during Windows 10 updates. Here are the steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click Update and security.
• Go to Windows Update.
• Select Advanced options link.
• Clear the Include driver updates when I update Windows option to complete the task.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
