Windows 10: Windows Update KB5005565 - Error 0x8007007e

I am unable to install windows update KB5005565, in the install page it gets to 35% restarts then undoes the changes. So far I have tried:resetting Windows Update Components e.g.net stop wuauserv, etcperforming a clean bootinstalling the ISO filerunning the update troubleshootertemporarily disabling my antivirus

Getting the error 0x8007007e could be caused by a third party antivirus software that's blocking the update. It's also possible that the Windows Update Components could be corrupted.

For is to sort out this problem, we suggest disabling the antivirus software before trying the update again. Follow these steps:

• Right click the antivirus icon in the system tray (on the right bottom corner) and select
  Disable.
• If that doesn’t work, double click the antivirus icon. Select the Disable option from the pop up.
• Try the update one more time once the antivirus is disabled. Don't forget to enable it back.

If the issue persists, then please reset the Windows Update Components. Follow the steps
here.

By the way, what is your network connection type? Is the computer connected directly to the internet? If not, are you using any modem, router, or other network device?

If not, then I suggest you proceed to prepare for an in-place upgrade repair install first of your build 1607.
Before attempting that, and noting your system is elderly, please

i. Download and install and run Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) to test your disk
