Windows 10: Windows Update KB5036893 does not install

Split from this thread. I've done so many restarts over the past few weeks for this one update KB5036893 and it won't install. It downloads just fine, but always fails on the required reboot and has to revert itself. After a long wait. Last night, Windows got so desperate to do it that it restarted my machine in the middle of the night, even though I thought I'd disabled that ability while the machine is sleeping. In doing that, it lost hours of my work that is now just gone. MICROSOFT: if the same update fails more than 2-3 times, then the system needs to let it go and let me have a li

Error 0x80070020 when installing KB5036893

Thank you, the inplace update worked without problem. And now windows update says I'm up-to-date, KB5036893 is also listed in my installed updates.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
