Windows 10: Windows Update: KB5036893 Error: 0x800f0991

Running 23H2 Build 22631.3007 and trying to install update KB5036893.I keep getting install error 0x800f0991 multiple times. I have tried multiple times on multiple days to do this. Then I found possible solutions which I list below:Attempt 1:Saw a fix for 0x800f0991 on this site and tried it , no luck with:sfc /scannow Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /ScanHealth Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /CheckHealth Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup The sfc did clean up errors, after I restarted PC and trried installing update again, failed again.Atte

2023-12 cumulative update for windows 11 version 22h2 for x64-based systems (kb5033375) install error - 0x800f0991 fail

tried all the steps with no resolution to the failed install error 0x800f0991.

any other suggestions?

Good morning David.

I've tried all the steps that you suggested that I do, but still no positive results. I even initiated to create the CBS.log (attached). After restarting, it still continued to fail. Now it has an error of 0X800F0991. Windows update also is listing a download for a 23H2, which is NOT my system. I have a 22H2. So needless to say, this has become very frustrating to say the least.

KB5029351 update fail 0x800f0991

Whenever I try to update Windows to build KB5029351, either through Windows Update or through Windows catalog, the update fails with a fail number: 0x800f0991. How can I update the computer?

I use:

• Windows 11 22H2, KB5029263
  
• Intel i7-8700
  
• 8GB RAM
