    So, I have run "sfc /scannow" and the DISM commands. DISM found no problems. Sfc says there are corrupted files that it fixed. But, it says that over, and over, and over again. I have run it at least 10 times. I have hand downloaded the update file KB5050009 from the catalog, and tried to install it using the "standalone installer". Fails, same as when using Windows Update error: 0x800f0983. I ran chkdsk. It found no problems. I have hundreds of gigabytes of empty disc space. I have loaded all other updates, except the one that repeatedly fails. I stopped, and restarted the three se
