    Windows Update - Laggy PC


    It is the 22. Jan. 2023A Windows update was pending and my computer became laggy again, to the point where it is unusable. This happened 8-10 times now.By now I feel like this information should be logged. There is countless threads on this issue already. I'd be interested in what particular program/thread is causing this. My mouse goes at 2 frames per second. I cannot click things for extended periods of time.Last time I updated, Windows had conveniently forgotten all my Browser settings, so that my new tab page was MSN and my default search engine Bing again.Two days before the current updat

    graphics on my PC have been super laggy

    Hi everyone, have been trying to follow this thread and have tried most things but now feel like I've exhausted most efforts..

    Since updating to 19041.630 the graphics on my PC have been super laggy, I've tried to do a repair install from USB, have run SFC/DISM a million times but keep getting "Problem with BITS service... HELPMSG 2182.." in the troubleshooting.

    Any suggestions from this initial bit of info.. my next step will be a clean install *Party

    • What is the make and model of the computer?

    I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in Troubleshoot
    lags or freezes in Windows     and check if it works.

    Note: The article holds good for Windows 10.

    You may also go through the suggestions given in Tips to improve PC performance in Windows
    10     to help make your PC run better.

    Note:

    Reset will result in the loss of data and the applications installed. You may take a backup of the data before reset.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
