Windows 10: Windows Update Leading to 100 Disk Usage- Release 6/9/2020 Windows 10, version 2004 and...

The version has finally refused to get updated, at least 10 attempts have been made. The system tries to install the update, restarts the system and finally shows the error "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes."It is repeatedly leading to 100 Disk Usage and disabling it is the only option. I have done the following already1. Restart the windows update service Run - services.msc 2. Changed Windows update settings install update as soon as possible, changed active hours etc 3. Deleted temporary files, prefetch

Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?

Please consider rolling back to the previous version until a fix is released. You have 10 days to do this after you installed version 2004.

Press Start then search Recovery Options

Under Go back to the previous version of Windows

Click Get Started

In the Task Manager, under Performance tab, the disk utilization reaches to 100% due to which system became lagging and unresponsive. It started freezing in few moments and this keeps happening until disk usage reduces from 100%.

Control panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Processor Power Management > Maximum Processor state.

Also, once I start Chrome 64, it uses lots of cpu and ram to do absolutely nothing.
