Windows 10: Windows Update - No boot found

Two nights ago June 3, 2020 I was prompted to Update Windows. I started the Update and went to bed.


Next morning a message came up to the effect - no boot xxx found.


I have run the diognostics in the bios and they are showing every device working fine.


Dell Inspiron with 1 Tb SSD the boot drive and 2 Tb hard drive which also has Windows installed. 32 Gb RAM.



I have taken it to shop and they are checking.


I cannot tell you which update or build number since that is not available without booting.


Windows 10 Professional that was, until now, up to date.


This is very unprofessional!

Windows XP Error: Could not Boot after update

repairing windows will just fix any damaged files, id suggest taking off your over clocking settings the try booting in, maybe when you updated you also updated some censoring device which is now causing you a problem with your over clock settings.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
