Windows 10: Windows Update, not able to update WD data base

This just started a few days ago....

I check for updates within Win10 Settings and I see the latest WD update failed to install, so I try again and continue to get the error of not able to install....

So, I bring up WD and do a manual update and it updates just fine........Then

I go back into Setting and see the message saying windows could not install the update........I click try again and Windows checks for the updates and then comes back CLEAN, saying windows is up to date not updates found.....

Anyone have any clues to whats up with this...

i did - and the windows store sign is BLACK and does not work anymore.

worse than before - how is the next step or at least how to restore the windows store?

Method 1

Run built-in Windows Store app troubleshooter.

• 
  a. Click on Start search and type troubleshooting and choose 'Troubleshooting'
  
• 
  b. Click on 'View All'.
  
• 
  c. Run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter. (Right click on the built driver file.)
  
• 
  d. Click/tap on
  Troubleshoot Compatibility. And check if it helps.
  

Method 2: Clear the cache from Windows store

This command resets the Windows Store without changing account settings or deleting installed apps. It’s a system and hidden file. WSReset.exe is usually located in the %SYSTEM% folder.

Please follow the steps given below.

c) Press "Windows+R" key on the keyboard to open Run window.

d) In the Run window type "wsreset.exe" and then click ok it will clear all the cache in Windows store

It works for me but takes a very long time.
