Windows 10: Windows Update now Chrome passwords and history gone

I have an older Dell Laptop which was running Windows 7 and has been running Windows 10 for the last 3 years . Previous updates have had no issues but after the last update website passwords and history have disappeared . This update was done 2 to 4 months ago and am now trying to deal with it . Laptop was only used for logging onto bank websites , a standalone computer . I tried going back to a previous version but have had no luck . My only interest is recovering the passwords . I was using the Chrome browser and have read that sometime around 2021 , Chrome began encryptingpasswords , so pre

Windows Update History Gone

Hi Andre,

you did not read my post. I do exactly as you suggested but under Update History I read "No updates have been installed yet". Many updates were installed on my W10 PC including some yesterday, yet I get this message. Update History used to list all the updates
installed by description and date!

When I click Uninstall Updates under Update History some recent updates are listed there!

Strange. Any clue?

 

Recover Windows Chrome Password

Yes, Chrome ask Windows Pass to view chrome password List.

Just try this

Add a Windows password, Then access your passwords using this,

Then disable the password, The chrome will not require you to enter a win pass to view the password list.

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
