Windows 10: Windows update Opening immersive control panel

This could be a dumb question but anyways.I have never had a problem with windows 11 updating untill recently,when i tried to update my windows version within settings and found out that it only opened the 'Immersive control panel' and I've also tried updating using admin cmd as well as the little button in the bottem right conrer of the taskbar but to no avail.Does anyone know how to fix my problem?

Method 1: Run SFC scan

I suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. The
sfc/scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files


Note: Applies to Windows 10 as well.

Note: System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

If issue still persists I would suggest you to create a new user account and check if it helps in resolving the issue.

Method 2: Create new user account

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

  Go to Settings.

  Choose Accounts
  and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.

  Select Add an Account.
  
• 
  Enter a user name and hit Next.

Why is Windows Immersive Control Panel (SystemSettings.exe) open when I'm not using it and haven't opened it?

Do other programs open under the name of the Settings UI?

Suddenly today in my start menu, "settings" changed to "immersive control panel". Clicking on it, it still goes to the settings menu.

I have run virus checkers and don't see any viruses.
