Windows 10: Windows update repeatedly finds unwanted SkyDrive and Office 2013 updates

My computer is running Windows 10, 21H1, 64 bit. It used to have office 2013 on it, but that was uninstalled. It is now running Office 365, 64 bit. Windows update always finds these:Update for Microsoft SkyDrive Pro KB2768356 32-Bit EditionSecurity Update for Microsoft Office 2013 KB2880463 32-Bit EditionIt always downloads them, tries to install, and the installation fails. How do I get rid of them, so that Windows update no longer finds them.I have uninstalled any and all Office versions. I have run the Office Removal Tool. Windows Updated Repeatedly Offers Updates for Old Version of Office (2013)

Hello,

For the past few months my work laptop has continuously offered me updates for legacy versions of Microsoft Office/Skype for Business. I've gone through a variety of steps to ensure that all legacy versions of Office have been removed, yet the updates continue
to be offered. Here is an overview of my system:

• Dell XPS 15 9560
• Windows 10 Enterprise (1709 build 16299.98)
• Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus (1710 build 8625.2139 Click-to-Run)

To be clear, this laptop has only ever had office 2016 installed. At one point I did install the InfoPath and SharePoint tools (which I believe are based on Office 2013) that Office365 offers for download - but they've since been uninstalled. I have never
had Access, Outlook, or Word 2013 installed - for example. The only version now listed under Apps & Features is Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus -en-us.

In terms of troubleshooting - I have completed the following:

• Completely uninstall any/all Office related applications
• Reinstalled from Office365 download
• Run Office uninstall easy fix tool (multiple times, with reboots between) - eventually reports that all traces of office have been removed
• Reinstalled from Office364 download
• Uninstalled all Office related updates from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features\Installed Updates
• Run Windows Update troubleshooter
• Cleared data from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
• Run SFC (no issues found)
• Run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (no issues found, but ran the restore anyway)

I would very much appreciate any ideas of guidance, and am willing to provide additional detail as required.

Hi Jordan. I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Did the PC come with preinstalled Office trial version? Look through the list of installed apps at Settings>Apps.

You said you ran an "Easy Fix" but not which one. Is it this one specifically for removing Office 2013?

If so did you do the Manual steps to check the registry for leftovers?

If that fails I'd click the link below that for direct Support from Office.
