    Windows Update runs forever without Updating / Currently has error: 0x80240fff


    I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. Everything seems to be working fine; except, I cannot update to the current version. The Windows Update version 1511 / OS Build 10586.0 ,at this time. I have tried several things like doing a Clean Boot before updating and even entering commands into CMD (following instructions for 0x80240fff error) that I have seen in this Microsoft Community to fix this error.


    Please advise and give detail instructions. I would appreciate any help that will especially get Windows Update up to the current version.

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

    Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

    I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?
