Windows 10: Windows update sends my computer disk wild

My beloved laptop becomes unable to function whenever I get a benevolent windows update from the brilliant Microsoft. The disk goes wild as if a thousand horses were pulling it in all directions whilst I am filled with a burning rage. I have tried calling Microsoft but to no avail, I am directed to a website that does not work because my computer does not work. I want the computer to continue to update. It should surely be able to update without tearing itself to pieces. I paid real money that I earned for this computer, is the answer just to prevent the computer from updating i

Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?

 

Wild Tangen app.Windows is checking for a solution

New computer with Windows 10, Wild Tangent games were installed and I have not had a problem until today. It was fine playing this morning, When I tried this afternoon, I get a message from Windows that it is not working and Windows is checking for a solution.

How do I find the solution in Windows that was found? I'm pretty illiterate with computers.

Task Manager is different than it was in Vista in that it shows every program installed, not just what's running, and I found several programs listed at the end that show "unavailable". Why? How would that happen? Wild Tangent App is one listed unavailable.

Hello again,

I created a local user account and performed the normal steps to try to delete the Wild Tangent games from my start menu, and it still doesn't work. To answer your questions, No, there are no error messages given; and no, this does not happen with other
applications.

Any other suggestions?
