  1. Windows update server over https?

Hello fellow Microsoft community,I recently installed and started running a proxy. However I noticed that updates for Microsoft defender and Windows 10 pro are coming into the laptop over http based downloads only. I could use the link and see the cab files and clear text once it downloaded from a browser. Is there a way to force only https downloads of updates? Even the signature files for defender antivirus is running over http. How can I adapt the download mirror to only use https for windows settings? My Raspberry pi I was able to set the apt-get update sources to https. Many Raspberry Pi

    :)

Microsoft Prepares Update for Windows Home Server

Microsoft's Windows Home Server officially launched earlier this month, is already preparing to be updated. Microsoft says that the new update is "part of the ongoing process of continually enhancing the customer experience with Windows Home Server." The update includes a few feature additions for Windows Home Server. Currently, users who login to their server when away from their home network - through an external URL like https://yourname.homeserver.com - are greeted with a security warning. The November 27 update will now provide users with a trusted SSL certificate for their Windows Home Severs. The SSL certification was provided with the help of Windows Live Domains and GoDaddy. Other new features include a "Delete All" button to remove home computer backups. Microsoft has also taken steps to make the Shared Folders and Server Storage aspects of Windows Home Server more robust and user friendly.

  3. Mail for Exchange : HTTP Server Error 500

I have resolved this same issue on our Nokia handsets using MfE by performing two actions.

There is a configuration change required to the Exchange server for ActiveSync, (as listed on other posts).

The second (and I suggest you try this first, as it may bypass the need to adjust the server completely) was related to our brand of certificate. The Nokia handsets only come pregonfigured with a very small list of Certificate Authorities
(CA's). My solution was to manually import the root CA certificate for our particular CA, which is Comodo.

Basically, you export the CA certificate in DER format from your PC, copy it to your Nokia via USB connection, then on the Nokia, open the certificate and install it. Rather than write all the steps here, I have a small blog entry that outlines the steps
in more detail (although it was written from memory). Blog is here:

    Hope it helps.
