Windows 10: Windows Update setting wont load

Just a bit of context. I had an issue with my headphones where if i accidentally unplugged them, and plugged them back in my laptop wouldnt recognise them. Then I uninstalled the audio driver for it Realtek R Audio, and reinstalled it off the realtek website. Then I played some music, with headphones in, and I thought everything was fine as it was working. Then it turned out audio was coming from both my laptop speakers and headphones. So I looked to see if there was an update after searching for help online, but Windows Update Settings didnt load, and that made even more problems.


Okay. So I've been having an issue where I want to check windows settings for updates. I open Update settings, and it stays on a loading screen forever. Then I went to windows security to check if there was a virus doing this, but windows security was all blank. Now, I have tried going to services, and turning on Windows Update as i have disabled before as it apparently makes games run better.

Heres what i tried:


Services

Right clicked Windows Update

Properties

Startup type: Automatic

Apply

Then i press start

Service Status changes to running, then stopping, then stopped


I have also tried setting it to manual, and automatic with delay. Manual shows an error code 1058 stating "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

Automatic with delay just does the stopping, stopped thing


I have also tried:


Command prompt admin

And typing in all the code on this website: https://thegeekpage.com/windows-update-service-keeps-turning-off/


The net stop commands either say that the service is not started wuauserv, or that it is stopping and has successfully stopped the other ones

Then I type the Ren commands, which both have no outcome

Then the start command, as soon as i start wuauserv, it comes up with the 1058 error code, "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."


Any help would be really appreciated. :


Oh and also when I reinstalled realtek R audio, my laptop didnt show my headphones in settings or sound control panel when i plugged them in but they played simultaeously with the speakers as i said above.

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

 

photo app in windows 10 wont load

my photo app wont open, and I cant uninstall it for it does not come up in the apps list in the settings. But it is in the all apps list.

When I have tried to reinstall it from playstore it says already installed. But wont open, and the new Twinui default photo view app wont open any jpeg files it say "class not registered".

I have followed other suggestions of troubleshooting, and system scan with no results.

Any suggestions?
