    Windows update stalling at 55%, no solutions work


    My computer is still on `Windows 10, Version 1709, Build 16299.785`, and I'm trying to update to Version 1803. When I try and `Restart & Update` the computer, it stalls out at 55%. I have waited several hours to no avail


    I have looked at the other posts on the forums, but none of the solutions work.

    I have tried

    * Uninstalling MalwareBytes

    * Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter

    * Running the Windows Update Helper

    * Running the Windows Media Creation Tool with an ISO (The update crashes as 16%)

    * Deleting the `SoftwareDistribution` folder


    Is there anything I can do to have my computer update?

    Windows 10 Update Stalled

    No dice.... still stalled at 55%.

    Altho the steps shown on that page were not the same as what I saw. I never saw anything about "unblock the bat. file" but I was able to run as admin. A black page came up with white text, seemed to be doing something . then it said it was successful
    and to restart. Restarted and checked win update. It starred to update and stopped at 55%. ????? You really have to dumb own your reply please.....lol

    windows 10 update stalls at "working on it"

    today, when i tried to install windows 10 through the get windows 10 app, the update stalled at the "working on it" step.

    therefore, i cannot start the windows 10 installation. by the way i have windows 7.
