Windows 10: Windows Update still at 93% installation of Insider Preview 17723.1000 for a (too) long time ?

I just participated in Insider program on my Surface Book 2 and launched the windows update process.

After downloading and installing many software parts, it still blocked at 93% installation progress of Windows 10 Insider Preview 17723.1000 (rs5_Release). Is it normal ? It was too early to participate ?

• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the

Windows 10 Insider Preview 14342 Fails to Install

I am currently running Windows 10 Pro and decided to join the Insider Preview. I don't have any anti virus software that might keep me from updating.

When I go to updates, my system downloads Windows 10 Insider Preview 14342 and attempts to install.

No matter how many times I try, the installation freezes at 93% (configuring settings)

I have made sure all my drivers are up to date....

I don't want to do a clean install, but am very perturbed that it will not update.

How can I find out what is making the installation fail?

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
