Windows 10: Windows Update Stuck at 0% Download - Windows Insider - Dev Channel - Need Assistance

Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue with Windows Update on my PC. When I try to check for updates, the download gets stuck at 0% and doesn’t proceed. I've tried several troubleshooting steps without success, and I’m hoping someone here can help. Here’s what I’ve attempted so far:Restarted Windows Update Service: Set the service to "Automatic" and manually started it through services.msc.Cleared Windows Update Cache: Stopped update services, cleared the SoftwareDistribution folder, and restarted the services using Command Prompt.Checked Network and Disabled VPN/Proxy: Restarted the router, checked

Downloading updates stuck at 0%


Hello everyone, Windows Update has been stuck at 0% every time I've tried in the last couple of days (see screenshot). These are the two updates available:

• Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3103688).

• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3105213).

 

Leaving Dev Channel

Release of 22H2 on Sep. doesn't help you to leave Dev channel since it will be build 22621 and current Dev channel build is 25188. You can't go backward in build numbers. Your only way out of Dev channel is clean install of released Windows version.

This is explained in release announcement of every new Dev channel build.

Build numbers are higher in the Dev Channel than the Windows 11 preview builds in the Beta and Release Preview Channels. You will not be able to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta or Release Preview Channels without doing a clean install back to the released version of Windows 11 currently.
