Windows 10: Windows update stuck at 89%

Discus and support Windows update stuck at 89% in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Im trying to upgrade from version 1803 to 1909 at the moment.     Windows update stuck at 89%


    Im trying to upgrade from version 1803 to 1909 at the moment. I've failed 3 times now, each time everything goes well untill the working on updates screen reaches 89%. It does not progress at all. I've waited overnight 2 times now and the same result. Each time I shut down, restarted, ran a few recommended commands on cmd, uninstalled my antivirus. I have also tried using the update assistant and the media creation tool, both gave the same result. Can anybody help me out?

    Windows update stucks at 89%.

    I have tried all of that. The Update Troubleshooter said problem solved. I have done the component update. It still sticks at 89%. I am running Windows 10 home and have not successfully updated for 14 months so its getting worrying.

    Are there any fixes which actually work?

    hello I have a similar problem, im updating from 7 to 10 thru windows media app thingy and after 4 hrs of installation im still at 89% and it seems stuck, any advice ?
