    Windows update stuck, can I force W10?


    I have been trying to bring W8.1 up to date so the W10 update can install the "Get Windows 10" icon and ultimately upgrade to W10. All that happens it the checking for updates green bar keeps going for days. Can I just manually update to W10, or will there be a problem since I wouldn't have brought 8.1 up to date first?

    My laptop gets stuck on downloading Windows 10 updates. How can I force it to finish the updates?

    Waiting for Download and Install updates stuck at 57%

    The tip from did not resolve the issue, I used the “reset windows update components" utility suggested by Deepika but return nothing wrong on Windows .. but still stuck @ 9%, went to "detail" and discover it is stuck @ "waiting for install" but never actually
    take place ... what can I do from here, Can I force it to re-download ??
