Windows 10: windows update stuck on 77%

my laptop has been likes this for weeks now, i’ve tried wired internet connection and wifi. it turns on and instantly goes to the update screen and goes from 35% to 77% and then stops

Since the issue still persists, we suggest removing the Internet connection on your computer. Try again to turn on the computer.

If the Windows update still got stuck at 77%, try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del see if it helps.

My computer is stuck in an update. I had to power it off with the power button. When I turn it back on it goes straight to the update screen at 72% and looks like it is working. It goes to 73, 74, all the way to 77% and then quits. I can't do anything
except turn it off again. I can't boot in safe mode because it goes straight to the update screen. How do I stop the update before it gets to 77%.

Bought an Acer Laptop yesterday with Windows 10 and for some reason the updates download seems to be stuck at 77%...

How do I fix this..??

It's showing that updates are available and they are either waiting for install or waiting for download.

Please help!
