Windows 10: Windows Update to 2004 broke Office 2000

My PC just updated to Version 2004. When I started Excel Office 2000, the registration box popped up asking me if I want to register my copy. No mattered what my choice was, Excel quit. When I double clicked a specific spreadsheet, the same thing happened. I ran the compatibility troubleshooter and used its suggestion to run in XP SP3. Every time I open Excel, the user account box pops up asking if I will allow changes. If I double click a specific spreadsheet, Excel opens to a blank file after the user account question and I have to use the dropdown to load the sheet I want. Turning off UAC solves the first issue although not really a good fix, but how can I get it to open a spreadsheet directly?

Running Office 2000 and Office 2007

Hi.

I am running Windows 8.1. I have installed Microsoft Office 2000 Pro AND MS Office 2007. I do not like the PowerPoint on 2007 and want to use the 2000 version. I know it is on the computer because 2000 appears in the remove programs list, but that is the
only place I can find it. It does not seem to be anywhere in the Programs list, on Drive C or on the Start list. I know it works fine with Windows 8.1 and 10 as I use it on other machines with only Office 2000 installed. So how can I use PP2000. Should I /
Could I perhaps remove just the PowerPoint from the Office 2007 only and use PP2000?

Officially the answer is no. Office 2000 and 2003 are not compatible with windows 10. What's more, they are not safe since there are no security updates for obsolete versions.
