Windows 10: Windows Update Troubleshooting Error

I kept getting an error for the "2022-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems KB5021234", with the error code "Install error - 0x80073701". I opened up the "Get Help" app, and followed the instructions until I got to this stage:"Let's stop the BITS service, the Windows Update service and the Cryptographic service. To do this, copy and paste or type the following commands at a command prompt. Press ENTER after you type each command. net stop bits net stop wuauserv net stop cryptsvc"When I put this into cmd.exe, all I get is this message:I didn't get any previous instructi

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
