  1. Windows update will not apply

I have a Windows 7 Pro that will not apply the following updates:Kb4516065 Kb4474419Kb4524752Kb4535102We are trying to catch up on some missed updates. The listed updates will not apply for some reason. The updates download and install just fine initially. After the reboot we get the following message:"Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes." The computer then restarts and the updates never apply. I've seen people recommend installing the following updates separately but that gets the same results. The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows update will not apply :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
