Windows 10: Windows Update & Windows 10 version 20024

My Windows Update states “You’re up to date”. When I check for updates, it continues to state “You’re up to date”. But:


1. When I go to Update History, , Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 keeps on failing to install. The errors have been 0x800707e7 and 0xc19001e1. Last system install attempt failed was Dec 17, 2020.


2. At the bottom right of my screen, it says “Your version of Windows 10 will reach end of service soon. Click to download a newer version of Windows10 to stay supported”.


So which is which? Is my Windows up to date or will it reach end of service soon?


How do I resolve Windown 10 version 2004 install issue?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
