    Windows Update, Windows Search, disabled SFC /scannow does not repair


    Windows update has become disabled and cannot be reenabled, So has Windows Search which can be reenabled but somehow shuts itself off. Errors occur in Outlook search. Repeatedly running sfc /scannow with Fast Startup disabled (10X) does not effect a repair. 6.22 mb CBS.log attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Windows update PROBLEM!

    From the windows disk command prompt run sfc /scannow.

    Download Superantispyware and in the preferences > repairs > Try the repair tools listed.

    Also, disable system restore and any other back-ups that maybe infected.

    You probably will need to re-install the system, unless you are real familiar with the internal workings and know how to do a lot of manual repair... it is tedious work.*Smile Windows Update, Windows Search, disabled SFC /scannow does not repair :)

    SFC scannow not working but verify only is working

    there is no problem in chkdsk I've checked When I select command prompt and sfc scannow from f8 and repair.. it shows that a reboot is required for pending repair and pending renames folder in winsxs is full of files.. what should I do??

    FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

    Ok I did another reboot, disabled windows update service, did step 3 again, this time it installed an update, enabled windows update service and did a reboot and voila!! *Peace Windows Update, Windows Search, disabled SFC /scannow does not repair :peace:
