Windows 10: Windows update

Discus and support Windows update in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Every time windows does its update, it resets my machine back to factory.     Every time windows does its update, it resets my machine back to factory. I have to re-do the "Welcome to Windows" and set up all the applications again.Is there a way to avoid this. Redoing this every week is a pain.thanks
