Windows 10: Windows updated by checking the defer upgrades

I was trying to update to anniversary update but it's not updating until i checked the defer upgrade the update works now, so why is it defer upgrades worked opposite?

Refresh rate gets changed after the anniversary update

Sure I did thi after "accident".

But this is but deterent not a remedy, until someone check why it's doing like this and fix it in next update.

Since you are facing issues with windows updates, you may follow the below procedure to defer upgrades in Windows 10 and check.

Some Windows 10 editions let you defer upgrades to your PC. When you defer upgrades, new Windows features won’t be downloaded or installed for several months. Deferring upgrades doesn’t affect security updates. Note that deferring upgrades will prevent
you from getting the latest Windows features as soon as they’re available.

Select the Start button , then select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Advanced options, and place a tick mark for Defer upgrades.

The 'defer upgrades' option in Pro works by switching you from the Current Branch (CB) to the Current Branch for Business (CBB). The Anniversary update (1607) is now on CBB, so it should be offered even if you have deferred upgrades. There may have been some corruption in your settings previously that were corrected by you changing the 'defer' setting. If you turn off 'defer' you should find the Creators Update instead, as that is now CB. I tested that here...
