Windows 10: Windows updated my PC overnight, Audio is completely broken

Once again the night killer has come by and decided to ruin my day. Audio worked great on the night of the 16th, went to put my PC to sleep, saw a Windows update was due, let my PC go to sleep, and do its thing overnight. Woke up, and my audio is broken. I have attempted a whole bunch of steps to fix it.I have:Rebooted my PCUninstalled/Reinstalled all audio driversRestarted/ended/started the audio serviceUnplugged/replugged my audio deviceSwitched audio outputTroubleshooted the audioI have run through dozens of online searches and have seen this issue come up repeatedly, and no one seems to ha

Realtek audio broken with update, Also microsoft chat is broken

My audio is ruined with this last update, i've done every step and recommended action listed by microsoft and every suggestion on the first 20 pages of google search. Realtek is no longer showing up anywhere, like microsoft disabled it, microsoft chat is
also broken, requesting to speak with a human brings you to a couple options, all of which are broken and clicking on "chat" closes the window and nothing happens, this is absolutely disgusting, i've spent the last 4 hours trying to get my tablet, my audio,
and microsoft support to work.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Audio Completely Broken in my HP Windows 10 PC

Hi Greg, I tried all of the steps you listed in order and my audio still remains the same I'm not sure what else to do because this is now the second time I have reset my PC and my audio still has a red x.
