Windows 10: Windows Updates and Personal Settings

Windows changed my PC settings, PC goes to sleep after about 1 minute inactivity, and even though I keep resetting it back to “NEVER” it still goes to sleep! And now I can’t sign back in with just my password, it is asking me to set a PIN, I also have PIN required setting set to OFF. I have said asking, but it is not giving any other option, you can not proceed past this window. The only option is to shut down completely and then restart, which means any documents, or other word or web pages etc that I was using. Are lost. Why does Microsoft keep interfering with my settings? This is ver

We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

• Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
• Click on Personalize.
• Select Colors.
• Click on High contrast settings.
• From the drop-down menu, select None.
• Click Apply.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
