Windows 10: windows updates caused ISSUES - casting via bluetooth display no longer works !! KB5030651...

Every day I have been casting to display via bluetooth and it has worked for the past year with no issue. It stopped working after the last windows updates; it must be the last one on 14 October 2023, KB5030651. After the update, when trying to connect the display via right mouse click, display setting, multiple displays nothing happened when I clicked connect. Then I removed the devices and restarted and tried again. Still nothing. • Do you get any error message when you try to cast the device?
• Does the issue happen when you don't use cast to device, I mean when you are online?
• Which device do you use to cast the content?

If the issue happens only when you cast the device, the issue can be that of the casting device. In that case I would request you to execute the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Cast to device stopped working

Hi Dale,

Casting media files surely improves the experience. To better understand your issue, we'd like to know the following:

• The process that you performed to cast.
• Error messages encountered on casting.
• The device where you intend to cast.
• The medium (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) that you are using to cast.

'Cast to Device' no longer working

Please read the OP and follow up posts.

>>> Ok so it is worse with trying to stream from within Edge.

YouTube or Vimeo it will literally play one-half to one full second of the video and stop.

I will not be following the linked steps, I am done with this issue until MS releases an acknowledgement and an actual fix. Remember, I have a computer science background, and this is a custom built rig on a clean install. Whatever screwed this up is on
MS's end, not mine. Good luck to anyone else with this issue...
