Windows updates caused my PC to malfunction, slower after repair.

After windows updates my screen started periodically going black and I lost sound. I restarted after 2-3 minutes and it said "repairing" when rebooting. My PC is functional now but slower and makes a buzzing noise, which was rare before. I have tried disk cleanups which seem to have helped but my PC is still slower than before. How do I solve this?

    :)

  2. WD MyCloud causes malfunction of mouse

    Hi Scott,

I realize that you are facing issues with the mouse. I will try to help you with this issue.

    • Please provide more information when you say mouse does not work but malfunction?
Unplug the mouse, restart the computer and then plug in the mouse to check if that helps.

Make sure your PC has the latest updates. Go to the search box, enter Windows Update, and select Check for updates. In the Settings menu, select the Check for updates button. When it's finished, restart your PC.

Suggest you to boot the computer in a clean boot state and check if that helps. A clean boot state will help us to determine if any 3rd party service or application is causing this issue.

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” in the article to boot to normal startup.

    Thank you.

  3. Startup Repair Couldn't Repair My PC

Guys please help I have a laptop and I've been having the blue screen of death recently and I don't know what's causing it. When I try to use automatic repair on advance options to fix the problem it gives me an error that startup repair couldn't repair my pc and I don't know if windows system restore can help me considering that I'm already having this issue even before I made a restore point and sfc /scannow now says it does not found any integrity violations on windows resource protection. I don't want to reformat and lose all my files and programs so please do not suggest that. The only thing that I know can cause this to my laptop could be a corrupted windows update but I don't know which one because all my programs right now on my laptop are the same on my previous laptop and none of them are causing any blue screen on my older laptop so it can't be my 3rd party programs right.? If you can help me please let me know step by step what I need to do because I'm not good with tech stuff.

    Windows Update keeps failing!

    Hi,

I had once a similar issue like yours, i.e. not able to update Windows 7. What I did to solve the problems is:

    - go to control panel, then to "Troubleshouting" > "System and Security" > "Fix problems with Windows update" > click "Advanced" > choose "Apply repairs automatically".

And Windows will start detecting the issues and will repair "Windows update components". The problems should be fixed now, close the program, restart the PC, and see if the mentioned steps have fixed the problems you mentioned.

    Hope it works for you.

    Good luck!
