Windows 10: Windows Updates causing "duplicate" IP

Hello all, hoping someone else has run into this and can provide some ideas.At my work place, in my department each person has 2 sets of PCs. 1 on the normal company network IPs where we are all just standard users and IT manages everything, and another on our own VLAN for our equipment where we get some admin rights. I'm not IT but am savvy enough to be the unofficial manager of these PCs, especially after some recent departures. All of these PCs get set with a static IPv4 address, and there are no conflicts and life is good. But about 50% of the time, when the automatic windows updates ge

Duplicate updates

Gave your suggestion a try, but all the updates are still listed. If it wasn't for being out of installs for Office 2010, it would be interesting if an uninstall of it would remove the updates.

Edit: Solved the problem "my way", uninstalled all the duplicates and then blocked them wushowhide - Office still works.

Duplicate IP Address Error

Hello – I keep getting a duplicate IP address error and my internet gets disconnected every 2 - 3 minutes. I then have to wait as it identifies and then reconnects on its own. A few minutes later the process repeats. Very frustrating. I’ve released
and refreshed my IP address through the CMD window three times and I’ve also had my router swapped out twice (on my 3rd), and that hasn't worked either. Seems to disconnect every time something tries to come into my computer. Not sure what to do anymore...
Anyone have any suggestions?

 

2 IP address conflict

Hi Jessirel,

IP address conflict usually occurs after defining a static IP address. To resolve, try following these steps:

Run the Network troubleshooter

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Network troubleshooter, and then select
   Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
2. Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If that doesn’t fix your connection problem, try these things:

• Reset the TCP/IP stack
• Release the IP address
• Renew the IP address
• Flush and reset the DNS client resolver cache

Run these networking commands in Command Prompt:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click)
   Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator >
   Yes.
2. At the command prompt, run the following commands in the listed order, and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:
   • Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
   • Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
   • Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
   • Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
   • Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
