    Windows Updates Issue


    Despite having arranged my Windows updates to occur at a time convenient to myself via Advanced Options in Updates Settings MS continues to ignore my instructions. The reason why I changed updates times in the first place was because everything grinds to a halt when they occur. That's fine so long as I'm not using the laptop myself.So I'm now having to repeatedly suspend the updates processes in Task Manager, at least until I've had my use of the laptop. . . which is frankly ridiculous.Is there anything that can be done about it?

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Windows Updates Issue :)
